This is not about individual users setting a default using the Actions drop down. This is tough to research since how to set the user default always comes up. My question is a top-level default for all users --
1) Is there a way for the Admin to set a universal default that is in effect until the user selects their own?
2) If the user does not have a default set, what dashboard opens when they open or click the sprocket? Marketing; The last one they used; The last one anyone used?
I don’t believe that there is a way for the admin to set a default dashboard for all users. If I am not mistaken, that would be done on a user by user basis.
If a dashboard default is not set by the user, it will default to the last used dashboard that that particular user used.
Josh, Thanks. The more I read the more I agree that the evidence points to the answer that there isn’t an admin default setting for dashboards.
Also, thanks for the other answer about the dashboard that opens. I was told by a user that they saw my sandbox dashboard (where I work out ideas) when they first signed in. I take this with a grain of salt since I know they were a just signing in for training, so there was some random clicking. Last thing I want to do is script a test of this between users, so I’ll keep an eye out to support the “last dashboard viewed”.
