Currently, manual entry of new contact addresses is prone to human error (typos, incorrect street name/ number). For a home service business like ours, an incorrect address leads to flawed quoting and failed service calls, not to mention wasted time.
It would be amazing if HubSpot would implement an Address Autocomplete feature (similar to the Google Places API) within the Contact and Company creation sidebars. That would provide data validation for us.
How it works:
- As a user types into the “Street Address” field in the Create a Contact form in the HubSpot, a dropdown appears with verified suggestions based on what was typed in so far.
- Upon selecting a suggestion, the City, State, and Zip Code fields are automatically mapped and populated.
This would be a massive help. Here’s why:
- Data Integrity: Ensures every address in our CRM is a real, deliverable location that is spelled correctly.
- Efficiency: Drastically reduces the time internal staff spends on data entry during phone leads.
- Standardization: Prevents variations (ex. “St” vs “Street” or “NY” vs “New York”) making reporting and routing much cleaner.
While this would be great for HubSpot Forms, our primary need is for internal users during manual input to ensure accuracy from the first point of contact.
Thanks!
