Adding Company Address Google Map Link from HubSpot Forms

I work for a facilities services company that primarily works with only large facilities. On our Hubspot forms we ask for company address.

Does anyone know if there is way for us to turn the addresses into a Google map link. That way we can quickly look up the business in Google maps and click the satellite view to see the size of the building.

I tried searching for “address” both in the community and in Google and can’t find anything. I looked at some of the Hubspot apps and they are mostly street maps for routing.

Maybe there is a way to turn this on in a phone or gmail app or use a third party app. Open to any ideas. Thanks

Hi @RThomas6,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

HubSpot does not offer a built-in functionality that automatically converts company addresses into Google map links. However, there is a manual solution available for creating Google map links using the addresses collected through HubSpot forms.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to manually create a Google map link:

1. Once you collect the address through your HubSpot form, you can utilize that address to construct a Google map link.

2. Format the address as a URL query parameter by replacing any spaces with “+” signs.

As an example, if the address is “123 Main Street, City Name, State,” the formatted URL would appear as “Google Maps

3. You can then save this formatted URL as a new custom contact property within HubSpot.

Once saved, the link can be easily accessed within HubSpot, allowing you to seamlessly look up the business in Google Maps and examine the satellite view.

*It’s important to note that this method requires manual construction of the link and subsequent storage within HubSpot. Regrettably, it does not offer real-time integration or automation.

I hope this helps,

Diana

This is an excellent idea. Thank you for this suggestion!!
