Adding a identifier to a contact

I apologise if this is covered elsewhere but I dont even know what to call this problem so dont know how to find the answer.

My contacts come to me interested in 1 of 5 products I have.

In my contacts list I just need to be able to add an identifier so that I know which product the are interested in.

I have read about lists, folders and all sorts of stuff that I dont understand. :slightly_smiling_face:

@SprB3

Sounds like a custom field. You would just make it a “single select field” or “Multiselect,” if they can have more than one product at a time and add it to your contact record. Then you can add it to a view or to a form. You can also add it to a report so you know how many new leads are interested in each product.

If you have Sales Hub Pro, you can add products to deals and track in this way as well. This is a powerful tool to see which products are actually closing, not just interest.

Hope this helps. Message back for more info or to clarify further.

Here are articles to help you:

Here is an article on how to make the property: Create and edit properties

Then edit your side-bar so you can see it: Customize records

You can also add this same property to a form: Create forms (legacy)

Products: Create and manage products

Report Building: Create custom reports

Warren,

Thanks so much for your advice. I tried the first option but I needed to upgrade to Sales (or Marketing) which as I am only test driving at the moment I dont want to do, but I have added a form

You can also add this same property to a form: Create forms (legacy)

Its perfect for what I need.

Thanks

@SprB3 - No problem. Also, I would look at the fact that you can get Sales and Marketing Starter for $50 month right now during the pandemic for a year. Totally worth the extra tools.
