The old forms editor allowed disabling the country code for phone number fields with the “Show country code dropdown menu”. This functionality is no longer available in the new country code editor.
Our forms only target the US and we only want US phone numbers. the additional country code is confusing to our visitors and we would like to disable it.
I agree with this idea.
I heard from HubSpot support desk, if the country code is not available, the country code of the United Kingdom is sometime automatically assigned when using the phone number to make a call, etc.
I thought it would be helpful to have an option to set a default country code when the “Show country code dropdown menu” for the country code is turned off, to avoid such an occurrence.
We are using the form to target the Japanese market only, and there is a concern that the conversion rate of the form will decrease as many of our targets are not familiar with the country code.
