Hi,

Its possible to make new field in task form ?

I want more information about task like: duration, and i want see it in new column of task view

Hi @T726, Yes, it is possible to make a new field in the task form in HubSpot.

To do this, you will need to create a custom field within the task form.

You can create a custom field for duration and add it to the task form. Once you have created the custom field, you can then add it to the task view, which will create a new column for the duration field.

Dare @T726, To create and edit properties:

  • In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon in the main navigation bar.
  • In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Properties.
  • Click the Select an object dropdown menu, then select [Object] properties to create or edit a property for that object.

After creating new custom properties,

  • Click the Create new tab.
    • Select the form field type. If you’re creating a field where the visitor can select multiple options, the Checkboxes and Radio types will display all available options, while Dropdown will contain all options within a dropdown menu.
    • In the right panel, set up your form field:
      • Object type: select an object type. You can add Contact, Company, and Custom object fields. Ticket properties can be added if Automatic ticket creation is toggled on.
      • Group: select a property group.
      • Label: enter text to name the property.
      • Description: enter text to describe the property. This is optional and can be left blank.
    • Click Next.
    • Review your property options and click Create.

Moreover, To Add new options to a form field, you must create or edit the original contact property.

  • In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon in the main navigation bar.
  • In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Properties.
  • Locate and click the name of the property.
  • Ensure that the In forms switch is toggled on for all the options you want to display in your forms.
  • To add a new property option, click + Add an option.
  • Enter a label for your new option.
  • In the bottom left, click Save. You can repeat the above steps for any additional property options you want to add. Your new property options will appear in the form editor and on the live form.

And No, custom form fields are not available with the HubSpot Free account. They are only available with Professional and Enterprise plans.

FYI, I’m using the free package and could create new custom properties.

However, I haven’t found where it is possible to add custom fields for a “Task”, or maybe more generally to an “Activity” - it’s not on the “Select an object :” drop-down (your 1st image).

Could you direct me where to find it, how to do that?

(I see “Call” on the list, is that the nick name also for “Task”?)
