We are currently reporting gap to goal data in Google Sheets as opposed to HubSpot. The main reason for this is that when we add goal reports to a dashboard, we do not have the ability to add a Quick Filter based on the Deal owner or Assignee user ID. The sales leaders want to be able to see the data by either looking at the team on a whole or a specific user as well as looking by Close date on an annual basis or quarterly basis. HubSpot does not currently allow for this in dashboards.
HubSpot’s quick filters are pretty limited in flexibility, especially when trying to filter goal reports by specific users or date ranges like quarters or years. Have you tried to enable them on advanced filters?
Sounds like you’re also already using Google Sheets in the meantime. Is that process automated and live?
If not, you can try a tool like Coefficient’s certified 2-way sync with Google Sheets. Might be helpful in the meantime if you’re dealing with static spreadsheets and processes that aren’t working for you and your execs.
- Sync HubSpot Data to Google Sheets: Use Coefficient to pull your goal and deal data into Google Sheets and keep it live. This ensures your data is always up-to-date without manual exports.
- Utilize Google Sheets’ Native Filtering: Once your data is in Sheets, you can apply filters to analyze performance by individual users, teams, or specific time frames like quarters or years. This offers more flexibility than HubSpot’s built-in dashboard filters.
- Embed Live Dashboards Back into HubSpot: After creating your customized dashboards in Google Sheets, you can embed them directly into your HubSpot dashboards if you need using HubSpot’s embed functionality
Hope this is at least helpful for your process in the meantime!
Thanks so much, @h-recker! We were able to figure it out in Google Sheets with HubSpot’s native integration with Google Sheets. Your solution sounds great and will take a look if we find issues with the currently solution.
