Now that we can customize the default Lifecycle Stage Definitions, it makes sense to also automatically create the corresponding “Became a [Lifecycle Stage]” date properties with any custom Lifecycle Stages. Further, those fields should function just like the built-in ones where they are read-only and update automatically whenever a contact reaches the given Lifecycle Stage.
I know we can do this with a workflow and custom date property, but if you’re going to allow users to create their own lifecycle stages, then you should also have the full functionality of those custom stages as part of that feature.
I agree, @tmcginnis! It would also be nice to be able to update “Time to move from” properties so that the time between custom lifecycle stages is calculated dynamically.
I realize this is possible with custom properties, but it would be a helpful default feature. HubSpot currently has “time to move from lead to customer” and other properties that we’re unable to use because they don’t reflect our customer journey.
Totally agree the same functionality should be given to custom stages. Not providing this makes the feature/ability feel ‘half built’. Please do better Hubspot
Hubspot used to allow changing and updating these values, and now they don’t. I have a situation where an agency totally messed up the Hubspot instance and I am not able to realign it properly with accuracy. Seems funny we have to upvote and beg for an option that already was. I couldn’t be more disappointed. Being able to do this is more valuable to us then ‘time in’ stage which we could calculate ourselves.
Yeah, I don’t know why they don’t make these types of fields editable. I have to go back in time and update these dates so my reporting is accurate. Sure, I can add a custom field, but I have to create so many custom fields for workarounds as it is. Plus there is all the built-in functionality around these “Bacame a Date” fields that I would like to take advantage of.
