Activity types

Hi,
We would like to have a better understanding of our sales’ activities and be able to log them based on the customer stage. For example, we want to have a split between a call with an existing client and a potential client. Same for the email and meeting. We can name them “call new” and “call existing”, so we know how many calls sales have with new vs. existing clients.
How can we make that split? And is there another way to track this? Thanks!

Hi @EVatsev,

This can be achieved with call and meeting types: Create and use call and meeting types

Once set up, you can differentiate between these in reports, lists, workflows etc.

Custom call and meeting types require a Sales Hub Professional or Enterprise subscription. In the free CRM or with Sales Hub Starter, this cannot be done.

Best regards!

Hi @EVatsev,
Have you considered using the Call and Meeting type property?
These can easiliy be used in reports!

Hope this helps!

Thanks, both! That is very useful. And is ther a way to the same for emails? @Jonas_De_Mets , @karstenkoehler

@EVatsev unfortunately not, no, this does not exist.

Picking up last activity type is tricky in HS since you only have last activity date to trigger your WF. (There’s still no activity based WF). Meetings (and other events) can be pulled in a similar way as in my example, but be aware that changes to meetings that are in the future will need to be triggered from the next actitivity date.
