Hi @Tamizh! Welcome to the Community-- happy to have you here ![]()
Thanks for pointing this out! You are correct that while HubSpot does have the Subscriptions API, it is a read-only API, so it cannot be used for creating new or managing existing subscriptions. I encourage you to consider creating a post on our Ideas Forum here. If you find a similar idea, give it an upvote and share your unique use case in the comments.
Let’s invite some of our experts to the discussion as well-- Hey @Teun, @dennisedson, @Kevin-C have any of y’all come across a need for this or think it would be useful? Would love to hear your insight
Best,
Kennedy
Hi @kennedyp ,
I think there is a use-case for CRUD actions for almost every object in HubSpot. As HubSpot is evolving, and allowing for more complex solutions by extending both objects, functions and the UI, having an extensive API is necessary.
So yes, having POST, PUT and DELETE options for the commerce endpoints would be amazing.
I’m reaching out to ask why there doesn’t seem to be any API documentation for creating invoices or subscriptions. I’m planning an integration with HubSpot and noticed that I couldn’t locate the necessary API endpoints for these functionalities.
Are there any future plans to introduce APIs for creating invoices or subscriptions? It would be incredibly helpful for us and other developers working with your platform.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you.
I 100% agree @Teun!
It never amazes me how many gaps we find every time we want to use HubSpot for a new use case or modify an existing towards better integration with our video training platform uQualio (https://uqualio.com). With subscriptions we like most of what we see and how it is integrated with our current payment processor Stripe. However, the integration between HubSpot and Stripe more or less does not exist. So we cannot move to HubSpot.
Then I got the idea to get the HubSpot Subscription to our SaaS platform made from our app … and then let HubSpot handle the acutal invoice via the Stripe integration.
Sorry does not work as there is no “Create Commerce Subscription” endpoint (and CRUD in general).
Again the implementation fall short of any use case except the single one implemented by HubSpot. I really wonder why we end up here again and again.
Looks like you did not make an idea @Tamizh ???
