In my database, many deals are not associated with a company.
Is there a way to automatically associate a deal with a company (for example thanks to the email address of the email address of the client)?

How are you creating deals in HubSpot, manually, via an integration or via a workflow?
You might be able to do email matching with Ops Hub, but I’m not 100% sure.
Ideally, if you create deals manually you should do so from the contact record. This pulls in the associated company, and you can even make those associations mandatory.

I’m a little late to the party but have you heard of Associ8? It lets you automatically create associations between objects based on parameters you set. There’s some documentation showing how it works here.

How would this help with their problem though? Can Associ8 automatically associate a deal to a company that is associated with the contact the deal was made for?

Good question. The short answer is yes! Associ8 makes associations between two objects with matching property values (Chosen by the user). You can find more details on how the app works in our Associ8 - Demo Video.
Since the Contact is associated to both the Deal and the Company, you could create an automation that copies a property value from the Contact to the Deal and Company. Then you could use that value to associate the Deal to the Company (or vice versa if you prefer).

I’m actually quite literally trying to associate a contact’s primary company to a deal right now. I’ve never used Associ8 before, but just installed it - so trying to figure out the best way to approach. Any help to get started would be appreciated!

It’s ridiculous that there is no automation or bulk action to associate companies and deal records when a contact is associated with both. Even with an active association label native in HubSpot for companies and deal records, there’s no automation or setting to automatically associate them.
1) On your import sheet, include company and company domain information
2) On the import screen. If you choose import “Company” and “Deal”. Make the company information “update only”.

Correct. You can import both objects and associate them. When you create a single deal, you can choose a company to associate with it.
What we are looking for is:
When a deal is created (individually or via integration) and a contact is associated. We want the company who the contact is associated with to also be associated to the deal.
Currently, our integration is creating a contact and deal. That contact is a domain so HubSpot creates a company record and/or associates a current company with contact. So I can have 5 deals and 5 contacts associated with one company but none of the deal records are associated with the company.
