Import Custom Properties

SOLVE

Hi,

I'm new using Hubspot, looking around for a button that allows me import custom properties from another hubspot to mine, couldn't find.

I see that i can export config from tickets, but the format of xlsx file created doens't work to import, because it's come with a first line contain columns named like, name, internal name, etc. But in the rest of lines come the properties like "NF de Compra", this file has 382 properties, so how can i import all theses properties only once.

NameInternal nameType
NF de Compranf_de_comprastring
NF Emitida - Clientenf_emitida___clientestring

Import Custom Properties

Hi everyone. Just thought I'd let you know that there is a realtively simple way to copy and paste multiple values into a custom property which will save you a lot of manual work. I just did this and it worked very well for a siutaion where I had 100 possible values that I wanted listed under a multi-select property type.

1. Have a list of property values as ROWS in a spreadsheet. (A1 [Value], A2 [Value].....A100 [Value] etc...)

2. Highlight the entire column of text

3. Copy

4. Navigate to edit the custom property you created in Hubspot

5. Paste

6. Done, you should now have 100 options for that property.

Cheers.

I think they must have moved this recently - if you go to "load options", you can choose paste or load from another property! So useful.

Import Custom Properties

SOLVE

Hi Guys,

I know this issue has been the bane of a couple Hubspot consultants.

I've added a feature to my Hubspot chrome extension (Snippet Power Tools) that allows anyone to easily copy and paste custom properties across Hubspot accounts - I think if you spend a lot of time setting up the same properties again and again then you should check it out.

If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message.

Looking for this functionality as well... It doesn't make sense that you are able to export all properties but there's no way to import all properties.

What gives?

thanks @SWilliams77 I have the same need.

Let's imagine I want to import a set of 1000 contacts, with name, first name, email and a 4th field which is a custom property. Bad luck this custom property has 500 potential values...

My guess would be that I

  1. first have to create my new custom property
  2. upload in Hubspot all the possible values for that custom property (and not type it one by one 🙂 )
  3. import my 1000 contacts, with the 4th field matching with this new custom properties values

At least this is how it would work in SQL

Hi @Jovi

You can Import 382 properties at the same time. For this you need 382 properties data in Excel file. So, to do that you need to create the properties in HubSpot that are using in your Excel file as a Header. Then for Import the Excel file must be of CSV type because HubSpot accept onlly CSV file type. Then, next step you need to map the fields properly between the excel file and HubSpot say first name with First name. Click on Import.
