Log Shared Email Automatically
SOLVE
Q: Can we forward shared email addresses like info@company.com or sales@company.com to Hubspot and then manage the leads there??
Short A: Not a best practice. (not recommended)
Longer A:Source: MailChimp
Because role-based and reserved email addresses often represent multiple recipients, they generate many spam complaints. To prevent unnecessary spam complaints, many email platforms restrict these email addresses on imports and don’t send email to reserved email addresses. - see References (bottom of thread)
Even if an email platform currently allows the use of role-based email, continued support for role-based email isn't guaranteed and is more likely to be deprecated with little or no warning. As a best practice, avoid using role-based email for sales &/or marketing applications.
In HubSpot accounts that have access to conversations, any user in the account can use conversations as long as they are included as a team member on the inbox. Conversations allows multiple HubSpot users to share and manage an inbox. - see Use conversations - see Emails sent to filtered view in conversations inbox
Hi @jamesyip - yes this is possible and we actually do this ourselves. All of our outgoing emails are either from sales@ or support@ because of the way we operate as a team.. We then use our own HubSpot integration to log emails with the relevant contact in our HubSpot database. You can find us on the HubSpot App Marketplace if you want to try this for yourself. Good luck 😊
