Pre-built reports

Can you add filters to pre-built report templates? I have found a template for Email sent, opened, and click totals by email send date  but I'd like to be able to filter this report for a certain campaign and then clone it for all of my campaigns - is that possible? I've tried to custom build the report but can't replicate the format of it.

Hi @RMitchell0,

Some default reports can be filters, others cannot. Whenever it's not possible, there are two options:

  • Accept that these reports are set in stone
  • Build an approximation of this report using the custom report builder, in this case with the email data sources

There are a few cases where it is impossible to recreate exactly a default report and visualization. If you share a screenshot or the exact name of the default report, I can let you know what an approximation could look like.

Best regards

@RMitchell0 the marketing email analytics data source in the custom report builder contains these data points. With the KPI visualization, you can get close:

Looks like Karsten was able to help a bit!

If you run into the inability to build what you need in HubSpot again, you can leverage Coefficient from HubSpot's app marketplace.

It's a 2-way sync between HubSpot and your spreadsheet and offers an AI agents to help you build your report so you can build and filter in the exact way you need. Spreadsheets offer the ultimate flexibility!

You can then embed that live spreadsheet chart back into your HubSpot dashboard, so it looks like HubSpot report but refreshes on your Coefficient schedule.

I work at Coefficient, so if you take a peek, let me know if you have any questions!

I assume you'd have to set a KPI to compare the data against? Whereas the prebuilt report just shows a comparison against the last 30 days?

@RMitchell0 is that comparison component important for you? If so, I'd visualize this on a vertical bar chart with the delivery date on the x-axis.

Without that, it would simply show the overall KPI for the filtered date range.

I think our client would be interested to see and compare data from different months. I can't see a comparsion option to add into the report, would you mind explaining how I do this please?

@RMitchell0 KPI visualization with this data source don't support comparison to previous periods, you'd have to go the route of the bar chart.
