You can now use filters when importing Salesforce records into HubSpot via HubSpot’s Salesforce integration. Ensure you’re importing only the data you want into HubSpot by using these two new filters:
Previously, when you used HubSpot’s Salesforce integration to import Salesforce data like contacts, companies, deals, etc into HubSpot, all historic data would be imported for that object. This could take a long time and could result in an overload of outdated and irrelevant data in HubSpot.
Now with import filters, you can import just the most relevant Salesforce records into HubSpot. Use the “Create date” or “Update date” filter to import just the data you want into HubSpot, so your CRM isn’t bogged down with outdated and irrelevant records.
After you install the HubSpot Salesforce integration, you will have an option to import records from Salesforce via the HubSpot import tool. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Contacts > Contacts.
In the upper right, click "Import." Click "Start an import." Select "Integrations," then "Salesforce records." After you select an object to import from and select "Next," you’ll see an option to “Filter by create or update date.” Select “Add”.
Then fill out the details of your filter.
Click “Done” and “Begin import” to import the relevant Salesforce records into HubSpot.
This functionality works for all of the integration's standard and custom object syncs and is available to all customers using HubSpot’s Salesforce integration.
