How To Separate Lead Scoring Models for Different Segments Using HubSpot Score

We've just migrated to HubSpot and I intend to set up a maunal HubSpot Scoring system. However, rolling out this year we will begin marketing to an entirely new audience.
Question 1. Is there any way to set up a seperate HS Scoring model for this new segment? After a few quick searches, my guess is no, since it HS Score is a default property.
Question 2. If there is indeed no way to set up a truly seperate lead scoring model, is it possible to use seperate scoring levels for the different segments as a workaround?
For instance, I've created a scoring system for our primary audience for awareness (0-25) Nurturing (25-50) and Marketing (50+)
Is it possible to make the values for the second segment an order of magnitude (or two) larger, using scores such as 100-250-500 ? I would also use a custom property to identify the segment, so (If segment 2 AND HS Score is <250...etc.)
Question 3. If yes, how high can the HS Score go? Is this a bad idea?

I just wanted to jump on this quickly! Depending on your HubSpot package, you should be able to create multiple score properties which will allow you to set-up different lead score strategies. Just to double check this, if you go to properties and try to create a new one, does the field type 'Score' appear for you?
If so, can you let me know the different types of scoring you want to set-up and I can advise how this would then be done?
