New change sources will trigger assignment notifications

One function of the CRM is to help users take action on customer records at the appropriate time. HubSpot’s CRM helps with that by letting users know when a CRM object (contact, company, deal, etc.) is assigned to them. However, to protect users from being overloaded by notifications, ownership changes made by integrations didn’t trigger notifications.

What’s changing?

Ownership changes tagged with the source INTEGRATION will now trigger notifications. As we’ve heard from our customers and developers, it’s clear that you expect ownership changes from integrations to send notifications. This may significantly increase the amount of notifications users receive. Users can manage notification preferences in their account settings.

When is this happening?

This change will go live in 14 days, on Monday July 13th.
