[workflow] Detect date in property value, and format it

I have a workflow that changes the format of a property value. 

The value contains a date, but with more text around it. I'm wondering if it's possible to detect the date within the text, so that I can format it to a crtain date format.

(Also, is it possible to use regex or scripting to do this?)
