I work in a team spread across 4 different time zones. It would be helpful if each of us could have our local time zone associated with our HS profile and that would carry through when I'm scheduling activities or assigning tasks.

The fact that "HubSpot you'll see the timezone of where you are located reflected and not the default account timezone" when it comes to contacts registered is in fact a poor decesion. It creates friction between users of HS and the Sales CRM (in case its not HS) - the numbers do not match, making the flatform highly irrelevant for managment reporting/not credible. Our target audience is in US and Canada, and so are our marketing platforms, HS account and budgets allocated. The MKT team is in GMT+3 and everything that has to do with HS dashboards and monitoring is in GMT+3. That's a serious issue...
Just spoke with support and they say the feature works as intended - then the intention/scope is flawed in context of a team not all working in the same/single building 🙂
If you assign a task to someone else, you should be able to set it in your time zone and it converts it to theirs for the same time. If I set a task for 9 am, my team gets notified at 2 am. Whether you set it in their time zone or yours and it converts, it need to be clear how this behavior will work.
Absolutely ridiculous that this isn't yet an option. Our European sales team members have to always do funky conversions from the US-based account default when setting up sequences. PLEASE make Hubspot a viable option for global sales. This is bad.
We have 50 customer service reps that work nationwide but are split between the three main timezones. We're running into major problems trying to coordinate ticket assignments based on their time zones. This straightforward ask requires a lot of work today. Here's the painful workaround.
Split the two main CSR teams into six (Group 1 ET, Group 1 CT, Group 2 ET, etc.)
Stop using the auto ticket assignment option from the inbox's channel settings
Create several workflows with mutually exclusive execution times. Example:
Between 7 am - 8 am CT: enroll new tickets and assign them to the two ET groups
Between 8 am - 10 am CT: enroll new tickets and assign them to the two ET groups and two CT groups
Between 10 am - 4 pm CT: enroll new tickets and assign them to all groups
Between 4 pm - 5 pm CT: enroll new tickets and assign them to the two CT groups and two PT groups
Between 5 pm - 7 pm CT: enroll new tickets and assign them to the two PT groups
Y'all, this is a lot, and a pain to maintain. If the org decides to add a layer of complexity to the system, it will take 5x the time to implement. Worse yet, if we move forward with this split, then we'll have to update numerous chatflows to incorporate the new teams. I'm starting to hyperventilate.
Desperately need the ability to set custom availability based on individuals timezones.
We have group meetings set with individuals from the UK, East and West Coast USA and at the moment we're having to block out their calendars for the hours they don't work
Adding my thoughts in too, would be great if this user-specific timezone extends to reports too. For companies that handle customers from various countries, date-based reports are fixed to the account default timezone which makes it hard to seperate data. Having a user-specific timezone would help show the right report depending for the respective country
We need this feature too. With a sales team in several different timezones, we need the overall company Hubspot to remain in the timezone of our HQ location - but need our individual users to be able to change their timezone so that sync and integrations work better into Gcal for booking sales meetings etc
Please add Hubspot as keeping all users tied to the timezone of where the Hubspot account was established seems a little basic.
I was very surprised to learn Hubspot didn't have this feature. It is very important this be added. It coudl be a simple as enabling each user to set office hours and pull from those and sync calendar apps.
Seriously, how is this not a thing? Companies sprawl all over the world and we move through timezones routinely. The display of HS time based events should adapt to local time to assist the user.
This is a must-have for our team, which is growing and currently spans all but one timezone in the US. I'd hate to go back to calendly for this feature, but it's a pain to restructure everybody's personal calendar to fit the constraints of the round-robin meeting we're using.
