Segmentation of Marketing vs Sales email activities

Regarding the Salesforce CRM Activity Sync integration:

 

In its current state, SF activities created by Hubspot are automatically assigned to the Contact owner (who is typically a sales user). When a "Marketing Email" activity is sent there is no way to distinguish the different teams (by the individual) that sent an email communication to that Contact.

 

Thus, Sales team activities become inflated and Marketing teams do not get credit for touches. 

 

Would be great if the activity that is logged is assigned to whomever actually sent the email.
