There are a variety of inconsistencies with booking meetings in HS that make them difficult to use, especially for folks who book meetings on the behalf of others (ex: SDRs, CS support specialists). There are 3 ways to book meetings with various settings/rules:
1) HS Meeting Scheduler link
Allows for cancellation/reschedule links in the description
Allows for setting title, meeting type, location, description, etc. upfront
Allows for customizable email meeting reminders
2) Via Contact/Company Record Booker (clicking the "create meeting" button on an individual record)
Does not allow for cancellation/reschedule links in the description
Forces HS user to set title, meeting type, location, description manually each time (would be nice if we could choose to book from the scheduler instead, which has all this info pre-set)
Allows HS user to use a snippet within the meeting description as a workaround for standardized copy
Allows HS user to book a meeting hosted by themself or by a fellow HS user
Does not allow for customizable email meeting reminders (though has the option to send HS's pre-built reminders)
3) Inserting proposed times into an email (in HS or gmail)
Does not allow for cancellation/reschedule links in the description
Forces HS user to set title, location, description manually each time (would be nice if we could choose to book from the scheduler instead, which has all this info pre-set)
Does not allow HS user to use a snippet within the meeting description as a workaround for standardized copy, forcing the user to manually type it each time.
Does not allow HS user to set meeting type at all. All meetings that are booked this way come in as a blank meeting type, which impacts any automation built on meeting type.
Does not allow HS user to book a meeting hosted by a fellow HS user; they can only book a meeting for themself
Does not allow for customizable email meeting reminders (though has the option to send HS's pre-built reminders)
Forcing HS users to remember the various inconsistencies of each way to book meetings increases the chance of manual error and hinders our ability to trust HS reporting on meetings.
It would be ideal to create standardization across all ways to book meetings to make the product more dependable and more competitive with tools such as Calendly and ChiliPiper.
