Most of our Deal are references from different contacts that have worked with us and that kind of data is important to track. Right now the Account Managers add that information on a single-line field but there's no way to enforce them or validate the correct contact details. They could write the name incorrect, or just his first name or just the company name.
Because of that, we believe that a field with that functionality is the best solution to estandarize this case and would allow users to only selects contacts that already exist in your portal.
