The Business Card functionality within the HubSpot app should not only be available for a new contact, but also be available as we add a contact to a company, so that the association is automatic. Right now, we have to add the contact and then create the association.
Thanks for posting this question. Although not through the business card scanner flow, contacts can be automatically associated to existing companies once they are created. See this Knowledge Base article for more information - Automatically create and associate companies with contacts. It's true that in this case the company has to be previously created. The need for creating a company from the scanning flow is something that makes sense and we can take note of to evaluate further in the future.
@AAlvarez Could we look at implementing the above in the mobile app?
It is a handy scanner however if it could automatically associate the company and create the company if it isn't already in the database when you scan a business card. Could be done based on the domain and auto-populate the company insights section?
