At the moment, super admins automatically have the status of an approver, by default. If you're a super admin, you can approve marketing emails and landing pages and you appear in the dropdown of approvers. Super admins cannot be removed from that dropdown.
However, not all super admins have touchpoints with marketing or necessarily have the background knowledge to judge whether an email or landing page should be approved or not. On the contrary, super admins typically deal with questions of portal infrastructure and especially in larger organisations, they don't handle operational tasks like email approval.
Approving emails and landing pages is typically a marketing admin function - and while there might be marketing admins who are also super admins, that's not always the case.
I would like to request that super admins can be removed from the approvers dropdown.
In larger portals, there can be a larger number or approvers and super admins and having these mixed together in one long dropdown of approvers can be misleading for users who request the approvals.
There is also a risk of a super admin being notified to approve something although they don't have any knowledge or context of it.
I took it a step furrther and would love to be able to assign certain emails to certain super admins. Like contact owners A-E are with super admin 1, F-O are super admin 2, etc.
Thank you for bringing this up, @Karsten. This is an important improvement. Things that can happen, do happen: Once, a super admin has - unintentionally - not only approved but also sent out one of my customer e-mails at a wrong time and to the wrong list. That was a shocking moment for me when I realised it and irritated the customers.
