Q: Teams not working.

 

Short A: n/a

 

Longer A:

HubSpot drives permissions based on 'asset ownership' (e.g., Contact Owner, Company Owner, Deal Owner, etc.).

 

Ownership by a Team isn't supported in any version of HubSpot. A good way to think of it may be that teams can't own or access anything. Only members (aka: users) can own or access things.

 

Example:

Team A - Angie, Bob, Charlie (permissions = 'Team and unassigned')

Team B - Deb (permissions = 'Everything')

Contact A - Owned by Angie

Contact B - Owned by Bob

Contact C - Owned by Charlie

Contact D - Owned by Deb

Contacts E-Z - unassigned

 

Deal A - Owned by Angie

Deal B - Owned by Bob

Deal D - Owned by Deb

 

Given the above definitions, the following is true about members of Team A.

All members of Team A have access to Contacts A-C and E-Z.

No members of Team A have access to Contact D.

All members of Team A have access to Deals A & B.

No members of Team A have access to Deal D.

 

See how that works?

 

Just remember, contacts are unassigned by default in HubSpot, so ...
