Marcia Pereira

Mom of two little girls, energy saver addict and renewables enthusiast, CEO and Co-Founder of Bandora, which empowers autonomous buildings with Artificial Intelligence, recently with presence in USA. A PhD candidate from MIT Portugal Program in Sustainable Energy Systems and e-learner of Data Science Program from Harvardx. Marcia has a degree in Mechanical Engineer, Applied Thermodynamics branch, from University of Lisbon. She started to work in the Portuguese Energy Agency, where she performed energy efficiency projects in commercial, residential and industrial buildings and deployed the European Energy Performance for Buildings Directive. She performed as well several renewable projects with emphasis: 1MW Concentrated Solar Photovoltaic Plant partnered with Suncore US; 4kW Hydropower Plant, connected to the public grid; and 40kW Solar Photovoltaic stand-alone Plant in Mozambique, to supply a Maternity and local Radio.
