Kent Byus is a Professor & Director of Entrepreneurship Education at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in Texas. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from New Mexico State University, an MBA from Texas Tech University, and a BBA from the University of Texas at El Paso. Prior to entering his academic pursuits, Dr. Byus enjoyed a successful career in commercial broadcasting ultimately owning radio stations in Alaska. In addition, he maintains ownership interests in consulting and retail businesses, as well as commercial real estate. His research interests include entrepreneurial decision-making, marketing strategy, business education and ethics. He has been published in several refereed journals and academic conference proceedings, including the SAM Advanced Management Journal, Journal of Applied Management and Entrepreneurship, Journal of the International Academy for Case Studies, Journal of Intellectual Capital, Health Marketing Quarterly, the Journal of Non-profit and Public Sector Marketing, the Journal of Family and Consumer Sciences and Entrepreneurial Executive.
