I believe marketing should be responsible for generating revenue. Marketing should be more sales minded. Sales should be more marketing minded. Both will be merging into one role driven by technology. B2B should copy B2C whenever possible. I love the challenges of scaling revenue at high-growth practiced by many tech/SaaS companies and I believe these best practices can largely be applied to other industries as well. Over the first 14 years I served marketing & sales teams with a number of international software companies in the ERP, CRM, Sales configuration space including 3 years in the USA to establish a subsidiary. In 2008 I decided to walk away from a high-paying job in the software industry and started a software development company for location based marketing services. In 2013 I saw the market potential of HubSpot with Inbound and changed the direction of my company and established one of the first HubSpot agencies in the Netherlands. I believe in solution selling and with the lessons learned in IT together with my background in marketing, the HubSpot platform would be an incredible asset to help clients make sales and marketing more accountable. The early days were hard since Inbound was not a common concept in the market. But working hard, learning a lot and growing steadily the results were pretty phenomenal. Between 2019-2021 Bright Digital was formed based on 2 mergers. The lessons learned, growth plans for the company and the struggle and frustrations I saw with my clients dealing with too many partners for different expertises urged us to form a one-stop-shop HubSpot agency. Now clients can benefit from one partner who will serve them with strategy services, HubSpot services, website & development services and digital marketing services all coordinated with one single point of contact. Besides business, the majority of my time is spent as husband to my beautiful wife and father to 3 kids. Other fun facts: I love windsurfing, skiing and racing bikes.
