We send out a weekly newsletter through Marketing - Campaigns so we can see who has unsubscribed by clicking on the actual newsletter sent out but is there a way of being notified if anyone unsubscribes. We have private clients and their advisers are keen to be alerted when someone unsubscribes.
Once they unsubscribe, are they automatically changed to a non-marketing contact on the next marketing update? Because Iv'e seen accounts still showing as marketing contacts after unsubscribe is selected. Or should I set up a workflow to automatically make that happen once unsubscribe is selected in an email?
Marketing contacts are selected manually and will need to also be changed back manually to non-marketing.
So, yes, an option would be to use a workflow to set them to non-marketing when they opt out! This will create an automated process to assist with this.
