TL;DR Workflows are being triggered when the trigger is 'Contact was sent Marketing Email, but didn't receive it', but the contact received the email. It was just queued for delivery on the SMTP server. Details Who does it affect? Workflow administrators, Account coordinators. What is the goal? We want to maintain the integrity of our client email addresses, so we need a warning when there's a failure. What value will this add? It will make workflows run less often and will make them simpler because they're not triggered in error. When the Hubspot SMTP server gets a 250 'Message queued for delivery' status, and then later a 'Delivered' message it can set off the above Workflow enrollement trigger. It gives the impression that an email wasn't delivered, but it was. Currently the workaround for this is that we wait for an hour and run the check again, but that makes our workflows more complicated and will probably generate a certain amount of confusion for users. Although it is considered to be a rare occurrence it seems to be triggering the workflow for almost 12% of our emails. That's 51 of 431 emails sent in a day of which only 6 times did the email sending result in failure.
