Hi, We're very excited with the release of the custom objects. On creating these we found that we cannot change or set the label of the default properties "object create date" and "object modification date".   It would make sense that those labels would be something like "car create date" (for an CO about cars) or "UFO modification date" for a CO about UFOs.   As an example, on top of the list view, it would be nicer to see such a label, rather than "object create date". 🙂        Thanks! ...read more

I've recently had the opportunity to tangle with both Marketing Events and Custom Objects. My idea that comes from that experience may not be universally popular, but I think could improve the support of both concepts. I'm struck by the counterintuituve special cases that plague the implementation/documentation of Marketing Events - and the contrast of how gracefully many of these issues are handled in the integration/use of Custom Events across the rest of the platform. For example: Availability of full object property editing, including group creation etc. in the logical settings menu Properties area. Marketing Events just don't show up here and they would be much more useful as fully integrated objects that could be extended in various ways. Immediate visibility of associated Custom Objects in Contacts/Companies etc. screens - including full preview etc. is very compelling. The full integration of all Custom Objects listing/filtering in the menu system under the same head as Contacts/Companies etc. The Marketing Events feature feels awkward and incomplete by comparison. Copying properties between standard and Custom Objects is simple and seamless inside workflows. By contrast, the special case app-centric workflow options to take action for Marketing Events seem very clumsy. The Beta API calls for marketing objects seem crude and arcane compared to the full set of APIs to manpulate Custom Objects. And the list could go on, of course. My plea here is something along the lines of co-opting a "standard" Custom Object to serve the role of much more general Marketing Events support in those variants of the platform that can't create Custom Objects for themselves. I suspect that a full focus on Custom Object support would give an improved experience for those functions without dilution of developer effort into the cramped and inconvenient special case of Marketing Events. It would also give an 'upsell" taster for the added value that comes from full the Enterprise platform option.   I hope this commentary is useful. ...read more

We have just upgraded to the Service Hub Professional to use within 2 different companies.   It would be really useful if you could change the 'Send From' email address and signature dependant on the pipeline! For example:   Pipeline: Red Cars Email: help@redcars.co.uk   Pipeline: Blue Cars Email: sales@bluecars.co.uk   I'm having to continue sending all emails through Outlook and logging them into HubSpot, as the email and signature need to match the company I'm working from!   Thanks! ...read more

Currently, custom objects can only be associated with contacts. It would be great if I can associate to companies.    For example, if I have a custom object, "Virtual Events" and we focus on companies rather than contacts when it comes to invitations, I'd much rather see all of the companies affiliated rather than 50 associated contacts. In our integration with Salesforce, I'm running into an issue that the standard Country fields for State/Region and Country are free text fields. I'm in the process of setting up a custom field and workflow to update these. As we have a global reach, this will be quite the process to set up.    Custom Objects: The first product request is to have this just baked into the State/Region and Country fields as standard. The second request would be to have the State/Region automatically populate options based on which country is selected. All of this prevents inconsistent data when a user fills out a lead form. ...read more
