Timeline of objects update in real time (JavaScript or similar)

New idea here! We where speaking about cards in the HubSpot API community in this thread when we saw the need to have timelines update in real time.
Lets say two users or more are working on the same object (lets say a deal) we would like the timeline to be updated in real time similar to how comments work in conversations.
Basically automated updates on change without the need to refresh page.
Note: The timeline could also be affected by API calls and should be updated even if there is one user looking at one record while the API call is calling that specific record.
