Bulk updating marketing email subscription types

Hi - we just made some changes to our marketing email subscription types and it was really cumbersome to each of our automated emails with the new subscription type. It would be really helpful to be able to make a bulk update to emails to add them to a different subscription type rather than having to manually click into each email and update the subscription type.

@Jovitha would you be able to provide more detailed instructions on how to use workflows to mass update subscriber communication permissions?

You can update communication subscription types in bulk when looking at Contacts. Not by selecting "edit" and changing properties but where it says More >> Edit communication subscriptions.

I have to echo this feature request. We're going through the process of cleaning up our subscription types and we're facing the prospect of manually updating hundreds of emails one by one. A simpler way to make these updates and give our users a better email subscription management experience seems like a no-brainer.

@Jovitha thanks - that would help you manage the contacts and their subscriptions, but not which automated emails are associated with what subscription types. That is what I'm requesting as a feature - there isn't an easy way to make bulk updates to marketing emails as they're not treated like an object in the same sense as a contact/company.

Hey @Jricci11 , This can be achieved through a workflow. Here all the subscriptions will be updated and it is an automated process once you set it up at first. For Example, if you have a Subscription type Finance and Marketing, and you are sending an automated email to all the contacts whom you think would fall under the Subscription Marketing, then you can add an option titled "Add to Subscription" in the same workflow from where the automated emails have been sent.

Let me know if  this helps.
