How are tasks automatically created and assigned (apart from Workflows)?

Hello Everyone,

I understand that this question might not be able to be answered without more details from my side, but I just want a general answer, if possible.

 

One of my colleagues is receiving tasks that he deems unneeded, such as call tasks for customers that are purchasing from the webshop independently of our sales calls. As he wants to focus on more relevant tasks, he has asked me to have a look for him, yet i'm failing to understand where these tasks are coming from, as there are no workflows (in a pipeline or separate) that automatically create and assign these.


Hence my questions:

1. Are there ways, other than workflows, through which tasks can be created and assigned automatically?

2. Is there a way to see how a task was created/assigned? I.e. to recognize which automization created it?

Hi @RRMG workflows would be the only way a task could be automatically created.

 

The task itself won't show you which workflow created it, but you can open the contact record and check the workflows in the right sidebar to help narrow it down:

If you don't see any workflows here, I'd need a little more info about how the webshop purchases are being made to help narrow down what could be creating the tasks.
