What’s the last marketing video you remember watching and what made it memorable?

The last memorable marketing video I watched was Apple's iPhone 15 ad. It stood out due to its stunning visuals, emotional music, and focus on capturing life's moments. While it didn't prompt an immediate purchase, it did make me research the phone more and visit an Apple store later. The emotional connection and aspirational messaging were key in influencing my interest.

I signed up for a Ken Honda 3-day webinar about money struggles. It was really a 3 hour marketing video for a hig-ticket program he was selling.

What’s the last marketing video you remember watching and what made it memorable?

The last video I remember is the KFC "I Don't Care, I Love It" ad campaign, which used the song "I Love It" by Icona Pop to deliver a message of carefree indulgence and rebellion against everyday stresses. This campaign resonated with audiences by capturing the idea that sometimes, you just need to let go, forget the rules, and treat yourself to the simple joys — like digging into a bucket of fried chicken — without guilt or hesitation.

The video often featured relatable situations where people face minor frustrations, such as failed attempts at cooking, awkward social moments, or mundane daily struggles. The moment of transformation comes when they decide to shrug it off with an unapologetic attitude, singing or feeling the chorus "I don't care, I love it" while enjoying their KFC meal. This campaign effectively associated the brand with freedom, self-indulgence, and the joy of breaking away from expectations.

By tapping into humor and a rebellious spirit, the ad not only highlighted the comfort and satisfaction of the product but also created an emotional connection with consumers who appreciated the lighthearted message. The catchy soundtrack and bold visuals made it memorable, reinforcing the idea that sometimes the best response to life's little annoyances is simply to say, “I don’t care, I love it!” and savor the moment.

It has to be the videos of a Nigerian online store. Very agressive kind of marketing, it was everywnere on my instagram feed. I installed the App and even added some things to my cart. I guess the algorithm noticed.

Ben Affleck and Ice Spice Dunkin' ad. It was interesting seeing those celebrities and was humourous. That being said it made me interested, but I generally do not give into advertisements so it did not influence me in any way, but I still liked that ad.

Okay so here's something kind of funny: All of the promotional interviews/social media posts for Wicked (2024). I'm not a fan of Ariana Grande, and wasn't that familiar with the musical, but something about the joy it was bringing to people and the way the lead actresses talked about it made me curious. So, I went and saw it. And loved it. I think good marketing videos really nedd to have some kind of passion or pathos behind them in order to appeal to potential customers. I also like earnestness. Yes production value is important but I think charisma and earnestness are more so.

It was actually the campaign video of Apple called Think different/The Crazy Ones . It was memorable because it had nothing to do with technology but more about the core idea of the company . As human we are emotional creatures and we connect through emotions , so Apple was trying to connect to us with the help of the campaign.

A memorable marketing video would be one that was showcasing a product, can't remember if it was a course or something like that. But the video was very chatty and informal, which kind of took the serious vibe out of it, and maybe was reinforcing that learning is interesting and interactive. It was so good.

I remember watching marketing videos for a clothing brand called OH POLLY. I love their videos because they're so neat and consistent and perfectly show the functionality of their clothes. The aesthetics they choose for their videos align perfectly with the brand image. In the comments section, they always clear their customers' doubts in a way that's empathetic and relevant.

The last marketing video I remember watching from Mint Mobile is likely one of their signature humorous ads featuring Ryan Reynolds, the actor and owner of the company

The last video I checked was an or a soliciting for funds for a project. The organization used two young girls and their pitiful expressions at the beginning of the video pulled at me.

It was a commercial for Ulta. The premise is that a bunch of diverse strangers are stuck on an elevator together when a woman drops her Ulta bag and all the cosmetics fall out, prompting everyone in the elevator to start giving each other makeovers while the song, "Did we just become best friends?" plays. Not only is it cute and heartwarming, but it reinforces their branding message that their products are for everyone. It conveys their company values of unity and diversity, as well.

The last marketing video I watched was about an oversized accent chair. I'm in the market for new furniture and shopping couches and armchairs online is hard. I was looking for a 360 degree view to make sure the back doesn't show any ugly zippers etc. Furthermore, I wanted to see how soft the chair appears when someone sits in it and how tall it is in relation to a person. When shopping online, this is the next best thing to sitting in the chair yourself.

The last marketing video I watched was sent to me by my supervisor at a marketing strategist internship position I had recently. It was a culmination of all their marketing opportunities, their current clients and what they do. It offered insights into analytics and softwares that helped me understand what I need to learn and improve on.

What’s the last marketing video you remember watching and what made it memorable?

The last marketing video that I remember watching was for Mclaren. The video showcased their new and upcoming W1 car. It was memorable to me for highlighting the new technologies that they are implementing with this car while also showing how far they have come by referencing their previous cars. The video would have helped me take action and look into purchasing thier car, but sadly it is way out of my price range. Maybe one day I will be there, but one can dream.
