A video can be an excellent tool for communication and promotion depending on how effective and engaging its content is. With this in mind, we’d love to hear your thoughts on what makes a video engaging. Please reply to this post and answer the below questions:

What’s the last marketing video you remember watching and what made it memorable?
The video I'm thinking of is a marketing video from a financial company in Sri Lanka. It subtly touches on the idea that "Principles define us." The video suggests that the company's approach is based on qualitative principles rather than just financial ones.
What’s the last marketing video you remember watching and what made it memorable?
The last marketing video I remember watching was for a smart home device, and what made it memorable was how simple and relatable it was. Instead of just listing a bunch of features, the video showed a family using the product in everyday situations—like controlling the lights while their hands were full or setting the temperature before coming home. It was easy to picture myself doing the same things, which made it stick with me.
It definitely got me to take action—I went straight to their website to check out the price and see if it would work for my own home. I didn’t buy it right away, but it got me interested enough to do some research and think about it.
What makes a video engaging for me is when it’s not too salesy but still shows how a product fits into your life. Good visuals and a story you can relate to make all the difference. Plus, if there’s a clear call to action that feels natural, I’m more likely to follow through and look up the product.
What’s the last marketing video you remember watching and what made it memorable?
I often watch marketing videos, but most of them are not memorable because they don't resonate with me as the target audience. For a video to catch my attention, it needs to be tailored to my interests, such as appearing on a website I visit, being shared by a brand I like on social media, or showing up in my Google search results. While I've seen many videos, most of them were forgettable.
I find showing a business's exterior and where to seek assistance appealing because it creates a relatable, real-world connection. For me, keeping the connection familiar with personal service makes me feel comfortable with the business, and for me, at least, that sells the business as a place where I want to spend money.

A marketing video I always remember is Jennifer Aniston making Vital Proteins coffee recipes. It’s just funny ‘cause she’s so effortlessly cool about it, like, here’s Jen, casually living her best life, sipping protein coffee while the rest of us are still trying to figure out how to work the kettle. You can tell she genuinely loves the stuff, though, which makes it feel real. And it’s almost like she’s just chilling in her kitchen, like, “Oh, you don't do this every morning?” That whole low-key, breezy vibe, plus a bit of “I’m-not-Jen-Aniston” envy, makes it memorable! ;DD

There were plenty but the ones that stands all was the "Grab" ad in their app. It's weird ,you won't really understand it if no narrative at the end but how it was done visually was successful to penetrate core memory.
