workflow to indicate when when email response received

SOLVE

I am trying to set up a workflow for when a contact is at a "stage" (I created a property) and when that contact sends an email inbound it changes a different property (Response Required) to "Yes".

I have a separate workflow for when the response required is "no" and the system detects an outbound email, it sets the response required to "no".

Here is my workflow for the first  (no -> yes) - but its not working.  At first I thought it was reenrollment thanks to another kind user - but then i changed it (see below) and it is still not working - any suggestions?

Hey @MConnelly3 when you use associated objects as triggers you're not able to use them as re-enrollment trigger. In this case try to switch "Email reply from contact" (a property from Activity object) to "Recent sales email open date" or "Recent sales email reply date" (properties from the main object of this workflow).

This way it should start working 🙂

ps: The behaviour with expert stage seems odd, if you selected all option instead of having them listed simply change to Expert Stage is known!

Good luck!!

I see some issue - the field "Recent Sales Emil Replied Date" remains filled in and known even when I send new emails - so maybe not as great for this purpose?

Thanks so much - I changed to "recent sales email reply date" to known and set it up like this - still will not change the condition from "No" to "Yes"

I even removed all those other conditions and just set it to the second two - response required is no and recent sales email reply date to "known" - testing will not make it change.  Oddly - the way shown above when saved enrolled 600 some contacts and it is correct - the last email is from the contact.

Hi @MConnelly3 ,

I've just read @jforte and I think he's exactly right. If you use 'Recent sales email reply date' as a reenrollment trigger this should work for you!

Thanks,
