sharing custom reports

I recently created a custom report and made it private.  I would now like to share it with my group but can't find a quick and easy way to make it public.  I appreciate any insight!

Unless I am mistaken, individual reports can not be made private, but dashboards can (?).

Is your report on a dashboard already? 

Dashboard sharing settings can be accessed and changed from the visibility menu at the top right.
