inboxes and attachments

Hi

We are looking at incorporating an external email address into HubSpot which clients send enquiries to. The question I have is around attachments, if they send an attachment to the email, does this come into the contact record and if so, where?

I'm not sure I fully understand, please make any corrections/clarifications you need to. 

When you say "external email address" what do you mean by that? Will this email address be connected to Hubspot at all? Do you have it setup in an email client with the Hubspot email extention? This part is confusing me.

When a client emails a connected email address, the email is logged in the contact's activity feed and all attachments they send, or you send via Hubspot, are logged in the Attachments section on the right of the contact's activity feed:

Hi, 

I receive emails from various sources with CV's attached and I'd like hubspot to create a new candidate record with the info on the attachment. Is that possible?

Thanks for the content and swift reply. Yes, it will be attached to hubspot as a inbox and then managed from there.
