can hubspot prevent prospects already attached to deals from being added to specific sequences?

SOLVE

Our BDR's add prospects to their outbound prospecting sequences 25 at a time (or more). Occasionally, one of those prospects may already be engaged with us and attached a deal.

 

Is there a sequence setting that would prevent prospects who are already attached to deals from being added to a specific (outbound prospecting) sequence?

SOLVE

Hi @SMcRay,

 

There isn't a sequence setting for this but there is another way: Assuming that your BDRs are adding contacts from the contact index page (Menu > Contacts > Contacts), you could create and save a filtered view for them.

 

Once this view is opened by your BDRs, the tab will automatically remain pinned on the index page unless closed.

 

In this filtered view, you would set a filter for "Number of associated deals is 0". All contacts associated to a deal will be removed from this view.

 

Keep in mind that this number of deals includes closed lost deals. If you want to only exclude contacts associated to closed won deals, create an active list. This active list would be of contacts which are associated with a deal, the stage of which is "Closed won". You can then set a filter in your view to only show contacts who are not in this list.
