Workflow - clear all properties in a group

SOLVE

Hi, is there a way to clear all properties in a group in a workflow? I have a workflow that I update values into certain properties and before that I need to clear many other ones, I figured that the ability to clear all values in a properties group would help.

Thanks!

Hi @bigabiga,

No, unfortunately not. You would have the 'Edit record' workflow action to clear the value of one property. For each additional property, you need to add another 'Edit record' workflow action.

Been there, cleaning up properties can be a pain. Quick question: are those properties standard, or custom ones you've grouped yourself?

There's no built-in "clear entire group" option in workflows (yeah, frustrating), but here's what I've done before: set up a workflow with several "Set property value" actions, each one clearing a specific field. If you're clearing a lot, you can group them into a branch or label the step “Clear group” for easier reuse. It's a bit of setup at first, but worth it.

If you have Ops Hub Pro, you could use a custom code action to clear fields dynamically, but that’s more of a lift. Happy to help map it out if you let me know how many properties you're working with.
