profiles. 
Because different audiences require different types of communication.

I've found a few simple segmentations can go a long way. In addition to what @PamCotton shared, I'd consider segmenting by geographic location if that matters in your sales process, by buyer personas, and by lifecycle stage. Each of these segments can have different needs, and messaging may resonate differently as well.

 We have found that segmenting our contacts based on demographics, behaviors, interests, and lifecycle stages has significantly increased engagement. For example, tailoring messages to different age groups, purchase histories, and customer journey stages has made our communications more relevant and effective. These personalized approaches have led to higher open rates, click-through rates, and overall customer satisfaction.
