Webflow Embed - Styling with CSS

Hello,

My client and I are quite stuck with integrating our HubSpot form in Webflow via an embed. We are unable to style the embed with custom CSS in Webflow. The reason why we aren't using the HubSpot app in Webflow, is because hidden fields don't seem to be captured (UTMs), and the client will be runing multiple landing pages with different HubSpot forms, therefore the more user-friendly method for them to embed these forms, is via an HTML embed on Webflow.

I'm not sure why we can't enable raw HTML on the client's forms anymore. It's such a shame, because this feature worked so well. It seems like now, the client will have to pay extra in order for custom CSS function (via the Developer embed code). I can't seem to find in pricing, how much extra this would cost them.

Is there any other way that I can make this work? It's the last piece of the puzzle for our site to be fully complete. Is there perhaps an app in HubSpot that you could recommend?

Your help is greatly appreciated!

Hi there, @andrewehr
Thanks for your question - To get that "raw HTML" checkbox back, you would generally need to upgrade to Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise.

I'm also tagging in a few experts here in case they have any thoughts, recommendations, or potential workarounds that may fit your needs here!

@andrewehr
Of course! If all you need is to style the form with your own CSS and require raw HTML (not an iframe), you will likely need at least the Marketing Hub Professional plan.

I'm also going to send a direct message to you with further details, including how you can connect with from the growth team, so keep an eye out there!

For clarity, unlocking or reenabling legacy forms is not possible at this time, HubSpot has fully deprecated that feature.
I have provided this feedback to our teams accordingly, thanks again!

Hey, @andrewehr 👋 This feature has limitations “A Marketing Hub or Content Hub Professional or Enterprise subscription is required to access a form's developer code.” In this case a Sales Pro subscription will not work for this feature. Other options include:

Thanks for assisting, @Jaycee_Lewis!

Hi again @andrewehr,

Regarding analytics for Non-HubSpot forms: No, they do not track "Views" or calculate "Conversion Rates."

In your HubSpot Forms dashboard, you will see the number of Submissions, but the Views column will likely show -- or 0, and the conversion rate will be inaccurate.

I highly recommend looking into a custom-coded form and the Submit a Form API that Jaycee brought up previously, if you're able.

With this method, you can programmatically pass UTMs and hidden fields easily.

It still won't give you "Views" inside the HubSpot Forms tool (same restriction as above), but it solves every other styling and data capture issue you are facing without a subscription upgrade.

It requires some developer setup, but it is the standard "best practice" for Webflow sites that don't have Marketing Hub Pro.

Hope this helps clarify!

Hi @SealaB, thank you for your reply. What is the cheapest plan that we need to pay for, in order to style with CSS on the raw HTML form? I cannot seem to find the pricing plans which detail the sudden unlock of this ability. That is really all we need, this ability.

If you guys are able to somehow unlock legacy forms for my client, we would so appreciate it. Such a shame that it has been discontinued.

Thank you, and I look forward to yours and your team's responses.

Client has said that they're on the Sales Pro Plan, and can't use Marketing and Sales Pro plan at the same time. They're different products. What do you recommend we do? Does Sales Pro include form customisation via CSS?

Hi Jaycee,

Shame that it's not included in all plans. With the non-HubSpot form connections, are analytics collected and sent to HubSpot? Views in particular, as it's important to us to measure views vs. submissions. So for example, if I use the Webflow HubSpot app. With a past client, we weren't getting analytics and had to use an embed, but they have legacy forms, so we could style the embeds with HTML.

Hi Jaycee, if you could please confirm this, it would be great to know whether we could get analytics for non-HubSpot forms, that are connected to HubSpot. This hasn't worked in the past with Webflow's HubSpot app.

Thank you for your reply @SealaB ! Does the Starter Plan allow us to customise the forms with CSS? Going from £9 per month to £702 per month might be overkill for us, just for form styling.

Shame that the legacy forms have been depreciated, hoping something similar can come back soon. I know the community is keen on it.

Thank you

I will check my direct messages now to see whether you've messaged me.
