We are planning to host a virtual event, at the moment we are looking at Hopin, we like the platform but since it doesn't integrate with HS, so we're open to other options.
Some of the features we are looking for are:
integrates with Hubspot (form for registration, contact creation, analytics/reporting...)
Can host several modules/workshops at the time
Facilitates networking
Allows comments/questions
Provides good UX
Event will be free, however, we will collect funds for charity, prompting people to make donations on registration. We will also have a competition going during the event.
Any advice/recommendations are welcome and much appreciated... 🙂
We use Zoom as well, though I don't know that I would recommend it as an event hosting solution. I think you'll run into challenges with it. You could probably make it work and as @rikkilear mentioned, it's probably more cost effective...just do some trial runs before the actual event.
I've found Zoom can do a lot of those points if you pick the right plan. It integrates very well with HubSpot and provides good data. Its also comparatively very cheap.
Only thing I would look into more and speak to Zoom about is breaking down into mutliple rooms within one experience. Zoom can do this fine but has some limitations, eg the below:
There are more 'pupose built' solutions for event hosting online - the good ones do tend to be expensive so it depends on the size of your event and budget.
