In HubSpot, properties are tied to specific objects, so a single “vendor” property can’t span both contacts and companies. You’ll need to create one custom property for each object type. Each can share the same internal name and field options for consistency.
If you only have Starter, you’ll just need to update both manually or through workflows. It’s a small setup step but keeps reporting clear since HubSpot treats company and contact properties separately.
