Using @ sign when importing notes from Excel

SOLVE

Hello,

So I'm new to Hubspot and have been experimenting with importing data from Excel.  As we know, if you create a Note normally and include @johndoe then John Doe will get a notification about the new Note.  Is there a way to do this with an Excel import?

I've tried including @johndoe in the import and it comes through as plain text without the notification functionality.

Is this possible?  I'm guessing not, but figured I'd ask here.

Thanks!

Hi @CSantos5,

You're correct, this is not possible through import. Mentioning users with the @ character is only possible directly through the HubSpot user interface.

This would be a great timesaver! @hubspot maybe consider adding "@ mention" functionality for notes during import in a future update? It would definitely streamline our onboarding process.

Hi @CSantos5

You're correct; it's not possible to use the "@" mention functionality in HubSpot Notes through an Excel import. When you import data from Excel, HubSpot treats everything as plain text, so it doesn't recognize special functions like mentions or tagging team members.
