Unable to change contact name

SOLVE

I imported contacts from a spreadsheet, and they saved as all caps LASTNAME, FIRSTNAME assigned to "Firstname" status. I re-uploaded the spreadsheet to be correct with capitalization and columns in an attempt to update the already messed-up batch of names. They did not update the old batch. 

 

When I manually try to change the names and save one, they revert to the old name after a matter of seconds. I have tried multiple browsers. 

 

How can I fix this? We had an email we want to send to these leads this week. Thanks!

SOLVE

Hey @AHodak in your import, did you uncheck the box to not overwrite existing values? When you edit the names in the UI, are you ensuring you're clicking the orange "save" button on the bottom left of the page?
