Total Newbie Looking for a Recommendation

Hello Hubspot Community. 

It's a pleasurte to join you all. I'm looking for a recommendation for a resource inside or outside the HubSpot academy that will guide me through the process of configuring HubSpot, prior to importing contacts. 

I know how I want to break my contacts down, so I'm more interested ina  resoiurce that will show me how to set the individual fields up.

Any recommendations warmly welcomed.

Hey @TimDavies welcome to the group! It's great you're already thinking about how you want to organise your contacts, that's a first step a lot of people miss! 

My best advice right now would be to focus on the CRM, ensure you're keeping everything organised, working for you and easy to digest. HubSpot is a *big* tool, there's a lot of features, so it's easy to get distracted by trying to optimise things or try out new features when the foundations of your CRM isn't setup properly. 

The knowledgebase in HubSpot has a great breakdown of their guides for getting started here. If video if more your thing there's also some great youtube content here. 

Realistically the academy is the best resource I find, there's a free course on the HubSpot CRM I'd recomend starting off with here.
