Templated automation actions for additional lead pipelines

I've hit a bit of a snag with configuring a new lead pipeline.

 

In HubSpot's default lead pipeline, there are automation templates for advancing the lead stage based on outreach and responses.  This is incredibly handy and something we've been utilizing with leads up until this point.

With the recent feature addition to create more lead pipelines, we decided to move more of our sales processes to the Leads->Deals flow as it's been working great for us.  However, I have discovered that user-created lead pipelines do not have the same templated automation options as the HubSpot-created default.

This does appear to be expected behavior based on this snippet from the Knowledge Base.

I'm hoping to recreate the templated workflows for my new pipeline, and likely future additional ones.  I figure this can be achieved with a workflow, provided the correct triggers are set up.

 

Am struggling to identify which contact and/or lead properties they are pulling from, any suggestions or guidance?

If I understand this correctly, you want to know the trigger from which the "attempting" and "connected" stages are decided.

 

This is done through contact/lead's associated activity:

 

For Call outcome:
