Tagging/Grouping Companies

SOLVE

Hi all,

We want to create segments of our companies (clients), which would be dividing them into 5-6 groups.

Lets just call them Group 1, Group 2, Group 3, etc.

A company can only be in one group – but we want to be able to track, how many clients move from one to another – and to easy see how many clients are in the different groups.

What would be the best way of handling this? Using lifecycle stage or using a custom "Dropdown" property?

Regards

Glen

@GlenMichaelsen if you use a workflow to set a date when a company enters a certain bucket, yes, then you can create calculation properties for the time between certain dates: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/create-calculation-properties

Hi @GlenMichaelsen

Definitely a custom company property: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/create-and-edit-properties

Lifecycle stages are meant to track where your prospects or customers are in their buyer's journey, at which step of the way, not which bucket they belong into.
